Online Safety
As a school we take online safety serious and children are constantly taught in their lessons about the importance of online safety. We are aware of some media coverage over the past few days that may concern parents and children regarding online safety.

Snapchat map update raises child safety worries
Please see the link here regarding safeguarding information about the app “Snapchat”.
Also the internet often plays a huge part in many young people’s daily activities; allowing them to communicate freely with others and share information with ease via messaging apps, social media and gaming networks.

Parent Survey
Thank you to those parents who completed our recent ‘Parent Survey’.
The survey found that parents strongly agreed that the school offers an engaging curriculum, provides exciting and innovative learning experiences, prepares children for their next stage of learning and ensures that children feel safe in school.
Below are some of the comments we enjoyed reading from you.
“I am so impressed with my child and that shows me that she is enjoying learning so the school must be doing something right! She has improved so much in all aspects.”
“You push and create activities and incentives to make reading exciting.”
“Just an amazing school all round. My children love learning at Castle View.”
“I am very pleased with how the school has helped my daughter develop as an individual. I’m also very pleased with the amounts of homework that she is given – not too much or too little. It gives me a chance to keep a track of her progress from home and help me understand areas that she doesn’t quite get. Thank you.”
“Children are becoming confident individuals.”
“Students and families are very well supported. A broad curriculum is offered.”
“Toby has become more confident since at Castle View so thank you.”
“He enjoys school and has improved so much. I am very happy with his progress.”
The school’s greatest strength is… “Friendliness.”
The school’s greatest strength is… “The support to each child. They feel comfortable to approach you.”
The school’s greatest strength is… “Engaging all the kids together, reading with them, problems with speech were found and extra help was given and it has helped bring my child along with her words – fantastic.”
